Nobel prize-winner comes to South Bend

Biologist Eric Wieschaus shared the 1995 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with two others "for their discoveries concerning the genetic control of early embryonic development" [NobelPrize.org]. Wieschaus was born in South Bend and we celebrate his return to our city and visit to our campus. Please mark your calendar for this exciting and rare event.  For more information about the speaker and the Bender Scholar in Residence Lecture program please visit the IU South Bend News Room.
